What surprising beauty product do you swear by?
Aquaphor. I use it on my lips, under my eyes at night, on any rough skin spot like a callous on my feet or dry elbows.”

Describe your style in 140 characters or less.
“Denim. Denim. And…denim. I love keeping a simple base and building off it with great accessories.”

What do you splurge on?
“Basics. I know that sounds a bit a*s-backwards, but when I can justify wearing something 9,000 times, I go for it. You’d never catch me spending a fortune on something to wear just once to an event. However, I will splurge on most things vintage—luxury included. If it’s something that’s truly one-of-a-kind, I won’t be able to walk away from it.”

What’s your craziest work story?
“I was covering the Toronto Film Festival years ago and was rushing to a screening while texting, naturally, and I walked straight into the hotel’s glass door. My nose was bleeding, and Ryan Reynolds witnessed the whole thing go down. Finger-pointing and all.”

DrielyS-4672.jpg

What’s your worst shopping habit?
eBay. I ‘Buy it New’ and ‘Buy it Now’ and have a serious problem with the frequency at which I bargain shop. How could anyone turn down a brand new Isabel Marant sweater for 100 bucks?! Not this girl.”

Patricia Tortolani, Beauty Director, wears an Acne dress, Alexander Wang shoes, Warby Parker glasses, Elizabeth and James blazer, and Balenciaga and Valentino bracelets.

What surprising beauty product do you swear by?
Bag Balm (the stuff they put on cows’ utters). It’s seriously a miracle salve. I slather it on my cuticles and lips in the winter to prevent cracking. Also 4711 Cologne, which is like twenty bucks at the drugstore. I’m from Miami and every Cuban man wears it, so to me 4711 smells like home.”

Which trend would you never be caught dead trying?
“I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to trends. I’ll say rainbow hair, which I consider to be a very fashion-y beauty trend. I’ve worn my hair long and brown for 34 years and as much as I am tempted by all the cool My Little Pony hair colors, I know I would N-E-V-E-R have the nerve to go there myself.”

DrielyS-4451.jpg

What do you splurge on?
“Pickles. McClure’s Spicy Spears to be exact.”

DrielyS-4441.jpg

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done for work?
“I spent a few days with the Kardashian Klan in LA, which was a dizzying blur of hair extensions, Bentleys, and racks upon racks of Louboutins.”

DrielyS-4460.jpg

What is your worst shopping habit?
“Falling for the weekly J.Crew sale emails. I buy something from almost every one like if there isn’t going to be another. And also drunk shopping, which I tend to do with my mom and sister after long boozy lunches.”

DrielyS-4250.jpg
Sophia Panych, Beauty Editor of Allure Allure.com, wears an ASOS top; Zara shorts and shoes; and jewelry by Catbird, New York Adorned and Brooklyn Bazaar.

Describe your style in 140 characters or less.
“Fun, but unfussy—and on the weekends, I like to look like a gypsy.”

What surprising beauty product do you swear by?
“I use a lot of French beauty products: Biologique Recherche, Weleda, Bioderma, Eau Thermale Avène, Homeoplasmine. That last one is actually a cream that soothes irritated skin, but it makes a great lip balm.”

DrielyS-.jpg

What do you splurge on?
“I splurge on unique pieces that I know I’ll have in my closet forever—like my navy, alligator-skin Balenciaga bag, a one-of-a-kind black vintage skirt I bought in Paris, or those Givenchy shark tooth sandals from a couple seasons ago.”

DrielyS-4297.jpg

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done for work?
“I cover backstage beauty in Milan and Paris and every season is crazy. I’ve seen Pat McGrath doing Tilda Swinton‘s makeup before a Lanvin show, run into Paul McCartney backstage at Stella’s shows, and roamed around the Hôtel de Ville in rooms that are off-limits to the general public. But I also do a lot of crazy things on a day-to-day basis. They call me the office guinea pig because I’ll try anything once. I once received the same butt-firming treatment that the Victoria’s Secret models get before the runway show. It ended up somehow aggravating my knee and I was in physical therapy for a month. Oops.”

DrielyS-4304.jpg

Which trend would you never be caught dead trying?
“The one trend I just can’t get down with is Tevas—and no, not even the Prada ones. Maybe it’s because my dad still wears his with socks.”

DrielyS-4852.jpg
Jennifer Yee, Senior Market Editor, wears a T by Alexander Wang top, Maise jeans, and Manolo Blahnik heels.

Describe your style in 140 characters or less.
“My style is very fluid. I could be full on ballerina and ’70s Saint Laurent at the same time. I love ball gowns and silk pajamas equally.”

Which trend would you never be caught dead trying?
“Years of dancing ballet have made me hesitant to show my previously battered feet to the outside world. So I’ve been a bit chilly toward certain “Normcore” sandals. I don’t mind a great sneaker. But I can’t expose my feet in a frumpy sandal. It’s basically a necessity for me to have a traditionally pretty shoe.”

DrielyS-4869.jpg

What surprising beauty product do you swear by?
Avene Thermal Spring Water spray. I am that person that whips the bottle out of my bag and just starts spritzing my face. I love it so much. Sometimes people think my skin is glowing and dewy from facials or what not, but honestly, it’s from that glorious little bottle of spring water.”

What do you splurge on?
“Shoes and bags. One must always invest in accessories. I always think that I could be wearing a trash bag, but as long as I have on a gorgeous Manolo BB pump and Balenciaga bag, I’ll look chic.”

DrielyS-4871.jpg

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done for work?
“As a whole, anything having to do with me covering the lingerie market over the years probably fits this description. People in the office have become accustomed to me saying things like, “I found that latex bra and panty!” or “we really really need those G-strings and chicken cutlets asap!” If you ever need a butt pad insert, I know a great place. I’ve seen (and probably said) it all. But in the end, it’s all for the perfect picture!”

What is your worst shopping habit?
“I could shop online until the end of time. “

DrielyS-4806.jpg
Jarrod Lacks, Fashion Editor, wears an A.P.C. top; Nike pants and sneakers; and jewelry by Jennifer Fischer, XIV Karats and Maria Tash.

Describe your style in 140 characters or less.
“Sporty with a street/preppy influence. Very graphic, black, white and navy. I’m all about comfort and LIVE for all things Nike. Joggers, hoodies, T-shirts, trainers and Air Jordans are pretty much wardrobe staples. Oxfords, button-downs and crewneck sweaters and sweatshirts complete the look.”

DrielyS-4794.jpg

What do you splurge on?
“Outerwear, sneakers and jewelry! I usually buy two to three new jackets for the spring and fall seasons and at least one to two winter coats each winter. A.P.C. is my go-to for outerwear. Sneakers….well, that’s more of an addiction. Help! I’ve been a sneaker freak since I was in grade school, waiting in line for the new Air Jordans to be released. Things haven’t changed much (except the waiting in line part) and my collection has continued to grow through the years. I have very thin wrist so I like very thin, thin, thin jewelry. I dig diamonds. Completely. Diamonds are definitely the way to my heart….and sneakers.”

DrielyS-4788.jpg

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done for work?
“During one of my first shoots assisting Creative Director Paul Cavaco, I was requested to take off my jeans so that the model could be photographed in them. I was completely freaked out! I have the skinniest legs in America and at that time was still a bit self conscious about showing my legs in public and especially on a photo shoot! Oddly, I would wear basketball shorts under my jeans, (they would give the illusion that I had thicker thighs) and I took my jeans off, gave them to her, and finished out the shoot standing in my shorts feeling completely nuts. I honestly think I was more embarrassed that she could fit them perfectly. I learned that day that whatever it takes to make the picture work, you do it without question!”

Tiffany Reid, Market Editor, wears an Alexander Wang top, ASOS pants, Tom Ford shoes, a Giles Brother cuff, and an Alexis Bittar ring.

Describe your style in 140 characters or less.
“I’m often super-casual, a T-shirt and jeans with a heel is my go-to when I do not feel like thinking about my look. I typically wear dark colors, anything that looks sexy or rock and roll, I LOVE. When I am getting dressed up Bianca Jagger is my muse, she is perfection.”

Which trend would you never be caught dead trying?
Most trends. Trendy pieces do not look good on everybody, including me. One trend I’ve stayed away from recently is Tevas. I am short. I love heels!”

DrielyS-4568.jpg

What surprising beauty product do you swear by?
“Any basic drugstore buy. I keep a small tin of Nivea crème in my bag at all times. Also, I love C.O. Bigelow’s Mentha Lip Shine.”

DrielyS-4586.jpg

What is your worst shopping habit?
“I see something, I get obsessed with, I buy it. I always act on impulse. I’m not one to save my money for one thing I really want then wait to buy it, by the time I have the money saved I’m over it. “

DrielyS-4707.jpg
Catherine O’Neill, Beauty News Editor, wears a Zara dress, Topshop shoes, a Fendi cuff, and Catbird rings.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done for work?
“I once interviewed plastic surgeons on how to spot fake breasts and now I’m an expert, even on “fashion Cs.”

Which trend would you never be caught dead trying?
Birkenstocks. Some women can pull these off, but I look like one fanny pack short of a camp counselor.”

DrielyS-4730.jpg

What surprising beauty product do you swear by?
Champagne. My eyeliner can smell fear, so any time I’m getting ready to go out and want to do dramatic smoky eyes, I sip a glass of champagne. It makes me relaxed and creates the perfect smudgy eyes. Just one glass though. Any more and I’ll make myself look like Cleopatra, or a panda.”

Describe your style in 140 characters or less.
“What kind of outfit does my hair feel like wearing today?”

DrielyS-4741.jpg

What do you splurge on?
“Jeans. I’m super picky about the fit and wash. I created a custom pair at 3X1 in Soho and I’ve only worn them three times because I don’t want to overwash them and ruin them. I tried the freezer-cleaning thing—yeah, that doesn’t work. My worst nightmare is getting in a bathtub with jeans on, so I’m not even open to experimenting with that method.”

DrielyS-4747.jpg

What is your worst shopping habit?
“Only buying dresses. They’re the easiest outfit to put together in the morning (just ziiiiiip), but they don’t get nearly as much mileage as individual pieces. “
