In the treasure trove of lost videos harvested by EverythingisTerrible.com, “The Art and Science of Flirting” will take you back to days when shoulder pads, shiny shirts and VHS rentals ruled. Alec Baldwin was probably skinny in those days, too.
From the moment “personal communications specialist” Kathryn Brown, in her pearls and up-do, looks at the camera and declares, “YOU are going to learn how to flirt,” I knew this was going to be good.
Brown, whose LinkedIn profile claims that this flirting seminar made it to the front page of the Wall Street Journal, explains why she’s got that special something that you should heed: “Using her God-given abilities to see, hear, and feel energy as well as clear negative energy retained in the body, Kathy has acquired a unique and valuable perspective.”
It’s only 1 minute and 32 seconds, so I don’t want to spoil it for you, unlike everywhere else you go online. You must experience the Kathy Brown effect for yourself, including “a formula that’s better than the perfect line.” Ladies, pay attention. You never know what you’ve been doing wrong all these years.
It reminds me of the kind of videos resurrected by the Found Footage Festival, a guaranteed laugh-inducer with its array of almost-forgotten tutorials on potty-training, sexual harassment scenarios and how to massage cats. (Yeah, you read right. I wrote it once, now I’m writing it twice.)
