TUALATIN, Ore. — Thousands of dollars of stolen lingerie was returned to Posh Lingerie at Bridgeport Village Tuesday, after the store’s owner spread surveillance video of the theft on social media.
A group walked into Carolyn Boyd’s store Sunday night, distracted the employee and stole some of her boutique’s most expensive items, including a robe valued at nearly $1,600.
She caught the thefts with her security cameras, and has since spread the footage on social media.
“I plastered (it) all over Facebook, it kinda went viral,” Boyd told KATU news. “I think they must have felt the pressure.”
After our original story aired, Boyd got a call from a neighboring store saying someone dropped ff a bag full of the stolen clothes outside the Crate Barrel – with the tags still on.
While they didn’t get everything back, she said the bag had more items in it than they initially thought had been stolen.
Tualatin police told KATU that detectives are investigating several leads and checking out multiple addresses as they track down the suspects.
Tigard police Sgt. Jamey McDonald told KATU that Tigard detectives are revisiting open theft cases with similar suspect descriptions to that of the family seen in security camera video from Posh Lingerie.
The sales associate who was in the lingerie boutique when the thieves came in told KATU Tualatin detectives asked her to identify suspects from a photo lineup Thursday morning.
Posh Lingerie owner, Carolyn Boyd, told KATU she is in contact with other stores who are warning their staff members about the thieves.
If you have any information on the theft or the suspect, call Tualatin Police: (503) 691-4800.
