The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show heads to London

One of the most highly publicized fashion shows of the year is the Victoria’s Secret Show which attracts millions of viewers, both male and female, for the ‘barely there’ unique outfits and the gorgeous ‘Angels’ that sexily strut their stuff down the runway. It has always been an extravagant evening of fur, feathers, sequins and lace.

It seems hard to believe that it all began in the 1990′s in an effort to promote the Victoria’s Secret name and merchandise during Cupid’s holiday, Valentine’s Day. As the brand began to grow and developed an even larger fan base, the show moved to the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday time frame for a more festive experience. We have seen such lavish gift ideas as the ‘Million Dollar Bra’, a bra of Swarovski crystals and ‘Angels’ wings that could carry us to the moon.

Over the years, the show has been held in such fashionable cities as Miami, Los Angeles and the beautiful city of Cannes, but in the last few years, New York City has been home to a fashion show that has drawn not only top-notch entertainment, but celebrity guests as well.

The year 2014 will take Victoria’s Secret to a whole new social media platform as the announcement came just today that the 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will be held in London for the very first time. With the opening of a couple stores in the city and much more notoriety in Europe, it seemed like the perfect strategy to grow the reputation of Victoria’s Secret. As usual, the show will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network.

The announcement was made today at the newest retail store of the brand on Bond Street where crowds gathered to see lovely ‘Angels’ Candice Swanepoel and Adriana Lima steal the spotlight as they helped to present the news in red and white curve-hugging dresses.

This is the most popular fashion show in the world drawing an audience of 192 countries, and this year, fans will witness an even more exciting evening with enchanting entertainment (still to be announced), pink carpet interviews, model profiles, and best of all, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of one of the most celebrated fashion shows of the year, taking the look of lingerie to new heights.

Adriana Lima is excited to invite Prince Harry, and is hoping that one of her favorite artists, Elton John, will be there as well.
