HYDERABAD: In an all-new avatar this time around, 20 girls will woo seven male celebrities at the romantic Samode Palace near Jaipur, in the seventh edition of MTV Splitsvilla. The show, known for its sultry scenes, emotional outbursts and oomph, will see the vivacious Nikhil Chinapa co-hosting with the sensuous Sunny Leone, who has always been a fan of the show. “We had a lot of fun during the filming and, for a change, it’s not only about competing,” says the actor and model, adding, “there’s so much love in the air. Plus, plenty of drama and masti!”
Romantic pursuits
Contestants will vie for the attention of actors, models, sports stars and even former winners like Ayaz Ahmed, Abhishek Malik, Ashwini Kaul, Mayank Gandhi, Mayank Pawar, Rishabh Sinha and Shravan Reddy. Some of the women include former Miss Goa and lingerie model Scarlet Rose, model Etansha Gupta and Sonali Katyal, among others. Leone says that viewers will be privy to some never-before-seen twists and turns as “temperatures soar and the drama intensifies because when you put boys and girls together, there are bound to be sparks.”
She is also quick to give Chinapa credit for making her feel comfortable on the show. “He is so professional and I learned so much from the way he conducts himself. He’s very helpful and taught me the basics of hosting a show. We also have a lot of fun. Water balloon fights and all,” gushes the star, who says growing up watching MTV made her readily agree to participate in one of their shows. And while on a professional level it is exciting enough, on an emotional level, she hopes the real win will be the contestants actually finding true love while on the show. A fairytale ending, anyone?
