The Pixartprinting range has expanded with a new set of customisable natural fabrics
Quarto d’Altino (VE), 27 May 2016: Natural fabrics customised with your artwork, high quality materials and long-lasting colours, your chosen length of fabric and quick production times. Pixartprinting has expanded its range with eight new natural fabrics, ideal for clothing, accessories and home decor that stand out from the crowd. For the company, meanwhile, it means a new service and the ability to satisfy the requests of customers who want to personalise fabrics with their own artwork.
The stars of the new range are cotton and silk: carefully selected threads that give the fabrics softness and texture. The materials range from 100% cotton (Muslin 60, Poplin 50/50 and Drill) to 100% silk (8 mm Habutai and 14 mm Twill), as well as a cotton/silk blend (Habutai), and are available in various weights, each one suitable for creating specific garments. Printed digitally with reactive inks, allowing multiple hues and short lengths to be produced, they then undergo a finishing process: a selection of treatments to enhance the appearance, properties and colour fastness of the fabric.
With Pixartprinting you can customise the fabric, choosing the printing dimensions of your pattern (with a maximum height of 5 m and a width that varies depending on the material chosen) and selecting the type of repeat. Three options are available: basic, which repeats until the entire area of the fabric is filled; half-brick, where the pattern is repeated in half-step staggered rows, and half-drop, where the pattern is repeated in half-step staggered columns. Thanks to the technology at the disposal of the Venice-based W2P firm, you can order all textiles by the metre, with a minimum length of just 1 m: customers are therefore free to print anything from a sample to an entire collection. On the dedicated page you can select the number of metres required and receive a free quotation in real-time, and download the template, already set up with the dimensions of your chosen pattern. Then all it takes is a few clicks to order and receive your goods in a place convenient to you, and enjoy customised decorative fabrics for unique and high quality clothes and living spaces.
SPECIFICATIONS: NATURAL FABRICS BY PIXARTPRINTING
Each material has a different weight and structure, suitable for creating specific garments and items for the home:
- A very lightweight, loose-weave material, Muslin 60 (100% cotton, 110 gsm) is particularly suited to producing curtains, cushions, sheets and women’s clothing such as blouses.
- Poplin 50/50 (100% cotton, 150 gsm) is a compact and very durable fabric, yet at the same time extremely fine and lightweight. It is the best fabric for creating men’s shirts, and is also ideal for other clothing and bed linen.
- Traditionally used for making kimonos, Habutai is a lightweight and shimmering fabric, in spite of its tight weave. Particularly suited to scarves, blouses and lingerie, it can also be used for curtains, lampshades and upholstery, offering a very refined finish. There are two versions of the fabric to choose from: 8 mm Habutai (100% silk, 54 gsm) and Habutai (cotton/silk, 54 gsm).
- 14 mm Twill (100% silk, 84 gsm), with its diagonal weft pattern, is the ideal fabric for scarves.
- Drill, a very tightly woven 100% cotton fabric, is suitable for creating items of clothing including t-shirts, safari jackets, shirts and sportswear. It is available in 500 gsm, 360 gsm and 324 gsm versions. The heavier varieties are particularly recommended for uniforms and workwear and for kitchen textiles such as aprons and tablecloths, protecting the wearer from sources of heat.
