It was the lingerie set that made time freeze, hearts melt and men faint – according to its makers Gossard at least.

Now the brand have announced that the retro Gypsy design is heading back into shops and a new ad, featuring Olympia Valance, the 22-year-old sister of Holly, will appear on screens.

The original ad featured a handsome man looking hot and bothered in a doctor’s surgery, having apparently got there because of a fainting spell.

With the doctor gone, a lady appears clad in the lacy white Gypsy lingerie and a mischievous smile on her face.

The iconic ad ensured the range was a best-seller for Gossard at the time, and, unsurprisingly, the new campaign takes its cues from the old one.

Behind the scenes stills obtained by MailOnline reveal that, while the bra in question is black rather than white, the new ad looks set to be just as pulse-raising.

Speaking at the London shoot yesterday, Neighbours actress Valance said: ‘You haven’t seen yourself at your most confident and beautiful until you’ve taken off your clothes and put on a set of incredibly beautiful lingerie.

‘[I've been] transformed from someone who once disliked their curves into someone who embraces them and the body they’re given.

‘Everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their skin. I’ve never owned my body more than I do now and I have Gossard to thank for that.’

The actor and model, who is dating actor Greg Cannell, also posted an Instagram snap of herself posing on a green velvet couch clad in nothing but lingerie and matching heels.
