Prosecutors claim Marcus Hutchins, 23, confessed he was the mastermind behind code that can harvest account details and “hinted” he sold it to an unnamed co-defendant, still atlarge.
The researcher of Ilfracombe, Devon, was hailed a hero in May for creating a “kill-switch” to shut-down ransomware virus that hit the NHS and infected more than 300,000 computers in 150 countries.
