AFTER nine years dating an ex-England boss, she’s bound to have a story or two in the locker.
Nancy Dell’Olio is promising a tell-all show when she makes her Fringe debut at the Gilded Balloon this summer.
The property lawyer – who rose to fame dating former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson – is set to reveal her secrets.
The star of Strictly will take to the stage again – this time with her one-woman show, Rainbows From Diamonds.
She told the Evening News she signed up so people could see the “real” her and she felt the festival was the perfect platform. She said: “I’d like people to get to know the real me and my sense of humour, and also I have an interesting story to tell. I love the Fringe, I’ve been to it many times, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
The no holds barred performance about her life promises fireworks as she candidly talks about time with the Swede.
The Italian socialite hit back last year when Eriksson published his memoirs, claiming their long-term relationship had been “a mistake”.
In it, he admitted having affairs, including a well-documented fling with TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson, while dating Ms Dell’Olio.
Now her story will be brought to life by comic writer Diane Spencer, who is helping to tell all her secrets on “surviving with glamour”.
The show, which will run from August 15 to 24, is billed as full of “unrestrained self-deprecating Italian/American wit”.
She is expected to touch upon her charity work as an ambassador for women’s group Vital Voices, the foundation formed by Hilary Clinton, and the Red Cross.
Earlier this year she was made a “Cavaliere” – Italy’s highest civilian honour – for her contributions to the nation with her investiture set to take place in June.
She will be joined by comic Frank Skinner who has already confirmed he will take his new stand-up show, Man in a Suit, to the Festival. Other acts include Richard Herring and Russell Kane with tickets going on sale today.
A Fringe spokeswoman said preparations for this year’s festival were going well ahead of the launch next month. She said: “There will be hundreds of shows going on sale today and our sales launch will be held on June 5.”
