Model with £4000 sex toy collection can’t use any of them because of painful medical condition

A model who has racked up Britain’s kinkiest collection of sex toys can’t use a single one because of a painful medical condition.

Catherine Cullen, 22, has accumulated more than £4,000 worth of accessories for her love life since buying her first vibrator at the age of 17.

Her huge stash – which includes 26 vibrators, 12 dildos and 60 lingerie sets – is stored in an intimidating black suitcase which she keeps tucked away on top of her wardrobe.

But despite being obsessed with everything related to sex, the part-time model isn’t able to use the toys in her collection.

She suffers from a crippling condition called endometriosis, where small pieces of the womb lining are found on the outside of the womb.

It leaves her in constant pain and often makes penetration uncomfortable – meaning using many of the items in her sex toy stash is out of the question.

Catherine, of Patchway, Bristol, who also works in marketing, said: “I’m obsessed with sex toys and lingerie – that’s the only word I can use for it.

“I’ve got so much stuff – anything you can think of – but I’ve never used any of it.”

She added: “I’ve suffered with pain all of my life because of the endometriosis.

“It’s like a fish hook that goes up inside you and then someone yanks it out and keeps tugging.

“It is absolutely agonising. Sometimes it’s so bad that I have to crawl into a ball on the floor. There are really no words to describe how it feels.

“It affected my sex life. We couldn’t have sex because it hurt too much – it was a complete no go at that point.

“I was buying sex toys at a time when I couldn’t use them. I suppose with everything that was going on I felt rubbish about myself and it helped.

“Lingerie especially makes me feel more confident.”

After struggling with unbearable pain through her teenage years, Catherine was eventually diagnosed with endometriosis in August.

She now takes strong medication to numb the constant pain and is able to have sex again – but thinks using toys could hurt.

As well as toys, Catherine’s collection contains bed restraints, whips, bondage tape, strap-ons and dozens of flavours of lube – none of which has been touched.

It also boasts more than 60 lingerie sets and fancy dress outfits, including nurses, policewomen and cats, and even vibrating knickers.

With lingerie sets and fancy dress items costing around £40 apiece, vibrators costing the same and dildos costing around £60 each, Catherine thinks she’s spent over £4k in total.

The part-time model, who has been working in fashion since her teens, said: “My favourite toy of all is probably a remote control bullet.

“I love it because it is quiet and it has the remote so it would be quite fun to use with a partner.

“I’ve also got a very varied selection of dildos – they come in all different shapes and sizes.”

Catherine added: “If I’m honest, I find the really realistic ones quite funny. To be honest, quite a lot of them are quite comical.”

She said people are often feel uncomfortable when she shows them her collection and said her boyfriend – who doesn’t want to be named – didn’t know what to say at first.

Despite that, she admitted that she’s proud of it – especially when she’s drunk.

“I can’t explain why I love sex toys so much or why I buy so many of them. I think I’m just curious,” she said.

“Lots of people don’t share the interest or find it a bit daunting. There are lots of scary things in there, but I’d like to use it all.

“This whole thing is more for me than it is for boys. It’s pointless because I’m never going to use any of these things – I just like having them.

“My parents just let me get on with it. My mum doesn’t mind at all – we’re very very close. But I don’t know what she say if she found out how much money I’d spent on it.

“I tend to go a bit overboard with stuff and there’s no explanation at all.

“I guess it just shows that I’m a very passionate person.”
