Man accused of sex crimes, hosting teen lingerie parties

LAS CRUCES — A Las Cruces man suspected of sex crimes against a 15-year-old girl, providing alcohol and drugs to minors, and hosting provocative lingerie parties that featured teenage girls as models has been arrested.
Michael Brumm, 38, of the 600 block of Kansas Street, was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center with a cash-only bond set at $75,000, according to Las Cruces Police Department news release issued Wednesday.
Brumm is charged with five counts of criminal sexual penetration of a minor and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, police say.
Kasady J. Absher, 19, who resides at Brumm’s residence, was also arrested and charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, the release states. Absher’s bond was set at $2,500.
Las Cruces police learned that Brumm took three girls, ages 15, 16 and 17, to the Sun City Music Festival in El Paso in late August where he rented a hotel room and supplied the girls with alcohol and drugs. One of the girls’ fathers subsequently learned of the overnight trip and reported it to police on Sept. 4.
While investigating the allegations, detectives learned that Brumm had sex with a girl that began when she was only 15 years old. The girl is now 16. Investigators also learned that Brumm hosted lingerie parties that featured teenage girls in provocative undergarments, some of which were purchased by Brumm. The lingerie parties were believed to be attended by adult men.
Investigators executed a search warrant at Brumm’s residence and discovered an indoor hot tub, mannequins dressed in lingerie, clothing and lingerie which appeared to be for young females, a stripper pole and various alcoholic beverages consistent with what was described by the three teen girls. The search warrant also resulted in the discovery of sexual lubricants and books, condoms, and various sex toys and devices used for sex.
Detectives are continuing their investigation and have reason to believe other teenage girls were involved with Brumm or participated in the lingerie parties.
