Madonna’s recent shoot for L’uomo Vogue was marred after a number of expensive items of lingerie were seemingly stolen.

A $2,545 Italian lace bra, $345 thong and $515 briefs are reported to have gone missing from New York’s Highline Stages in the early hours of March 21, DNAInfo reports.

‘It was a Madonna shoot for L’uomo Mag and It would be ideal if someone found the bag of lingerie,’ a spokesperson for designer Deborah Marquit confirmed over email. ‘Deborah would love to get her collection pieces returned.’

'I am at a loss and wish the pieces would be found': Madonna's recent photo shoot for L'uomo Vogue was marred by the apparent theft of some rather expensive items of lingerie, according to reports

According to the report, filed by the NYPD, an assistant placed a bag containing the items beneath
a chair at around 4pm.

When the shoot wrapped shortly after midnight, it was discovered that the bag was no longer there.

The designer also sent an email to the website in which she says she believes it’s nothing more than a simple misunderstanding and the items will be returned, rather than it being a theft.

‘I am at a loss and wish the pieces would be found,’ she wrote. ‘I am sure there is no-one from the shoot that was involved, since nothing like this has ever happened before. There are a lot of people on shoots and maybe whoever found them will return them.’

The singer had been thrilled to shoot for the Italian men’s version of the fashion bible, playing up her androgynous side in suits among other things.

'Working Armani For. L'Uomo Vogue! #artforfreedom': The day after, the singer posted a behind the scenes photo to Instagram that showed her clad in a three-piece suit, complete with pageboy cap, as she embraced her androgynous side for the Italian men's magazine

‘Working Armani For. L’Uomo Vogue! #artforfreedom,’ she captioned a behind-the-scenes photo
of her clad in a stylish three-piece tweed number, complete with pageboy cap, which she posted
to Instagram the following day.

The 55-year-old also shared a photo that appears to be from the same shoot, in which she is wearing a royal blue satin bra and corset, with matching bow tie, as she raises one arm to reveal
a pretty impressive amount of underarm hair.

‘Long hair…… Don’t Care!!!!!! #artforfreedom #rebelheart #revolutionoflove,’ she wrote to accompany the pic.

The Like A Virgin hitmaker is yet to respond to the reports.

Meanwhile, it was just announced that Miley Cyrus will join Madonna as the guest curator for her
Art For Freedom project for the month of April.

'I'm sure no-one from the shoot was involved': While it's unclear what lingerie the star is wearing in this picture from the shoot, the missing Deborah Marquit items included a $2,545 Italian lace bra, $345 thong and $515 briefs, though the designer is confident it wasn't a theft

Launched in September, artists of all
genres and mediums are encouraged to post their submissions, with the
pop stars collaborating to choose the daily featured submission to
feature on the website.

‘There has never been a more crucial time to participate and help create change in the world,’
a statement by Madonna read. ‘I’ve been so inspired by people’s submissions since we began and
I welcome Miley’s input along with her fans to express themselves artistically and to share their creative ideas on the subject of human rights and freedom of speech.

‘Miley and I look forward to hearing your voices in the format of your choice throughout the month
of April and onward.’

The 21-year-old, who follows in the footsteps of Katy Perry, who helmed the project in January, added: ‘Art can speak volumes – I’m glad to join Madonna in encouraging people to have their voices heard at artforfreedom.com. It’s an ideal home to see how each of us can participate in changing the world for the better.’

At the end of the month, Madonna and Miley will name the winning recipient, with a $10,000 grant going to the nonprofit of their choice.

Hi–I did not think items such as these could be stolen or lost anymore. Do some people and/or police not all have the same technology? I’m surprised. Usually this kind of story is from someone who places themselves in the top/dominant/teacher/superior position and the people who have to tolerate such immature drama are the students waiting for knowledge from people who can’t write better happenings at their photo shoots for publicity or personal professional fun among their own crowd. While I am happy for Madonna being in such great shape as to be asked to model, I am glad I do not have to tolerate such “I do not know what happened to the cookies in the cookie jar. Ask Johnny–Mindset!” Honestly, Kim Susan Foster, aka EviandonotbesoNaive. KSF.
