Love and sex weekend in Atlantic City

It was hard to find hotel rooms in Atlantic City last weekend as thousands of enthusiastic devotees of love and sex occupied all available rooms for a ringside seat to see what was new at EXXXotica 2014, the largest love and sex expo in the United States (US).
The shows have been running in various cities across the US since 2006, but this is only the second year that Atlantic City has been the host city, with the Trump Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino as the headquarters.
For three days, from Friday to Sunday, attendees could explore hundreds of exposition booths, offering a mind-blowing array of products. There were almost no DVDs, thanks to the abundance of free online content. But trailer loads of toys, lingerie, enhancers, enlargers, volumizers, board and non-board games, performance pills, mechanical bulls, erotic contraptions, erotic art, sexy vacations, job opportunities, free seminars, expert advice on rejuvenating sex in a relationship, spanking sessions, body painting, body massages, and every other kink and fetish under the sun.

One of the busiest booths at the expo was Jamaica’s own Hedonism II from Negril, who vigorously promoted their unique brand, while providing an opportunity for those attending to win trips to the sexy all-inclusive beach resort. “We are here to introduce ourselves to a new generation of travellers, as well as to remind those who already know us that we have rebranded with amazing new amenities”, Nick Lindsay, entertainment manager for Hedonism II, told Flair.
In addition to the expo booths, the event was fully loaded with live bands and artistes performing around the clock, including New Jersey’s Naughty By Nature who brought the house down with their smash single OPP. There were dozens of nightly after parties, wet ftes and all-female and all-male reviews to accommodate the fantasies of the out-of-towners.
A highlight of the weekend was the EXXXotica Fan Choice Awards (called the Fannys) on Saturday night, a black tie extravaganza not unlike the Grammys where awards are presented to top performers in the adult film industry.
Attendees to EXXXotica events must be over 18 years old. Photography and videotaping is allowed, but smoking and nudity are strictly forbidden on the show floor. The next shows for 2014 are Fort Lauderdale May 2-4, Chicago July 11-13 and Edison, NJ, November 7-9.
