Winchester lingerie shop Boudoir Blush under new management

Outgoing owner Dani Miller, right, is handing over Boudoir Blush to new owner Ellie Gosse.
Winchester ’s only independent lingerie shop will continue trading despite the owner selling up.
After almost six years of business in Parchment Street, Dani Miller is selling Boudoir Blush and emigrating to Uruguay.
Dani, 31, said: “The plan is to move to South America to buy land in Uruguay and build some property.
But I didn’t want to leave Winchester without a Boudoir Blush because it’s the only independent lingerie shop here and we have built up a relationship with customers and the community. It’s
certainly not a case of business going badly because we have just had our best three months of business ever. Our turnover last year was £152,000 and we are already on £101,000 this year so we are
well on course to beat that.”
Dani is selling the business to friend and customer Ellie Gosse, 30, and Dani is confident the business will continue to thrive.
She said: “Ellie knows Winchester and she knows Winchester women which is an advantage. I didn’t really know Winchester well when I set the business up, I had to adjust. But Ellie knows the market
really well and I have no doubt she will do well.”
Ellie added: “I’m very confident about the future of Boudoir Blush and I would not take it on if I didn’t have faith in it. It’s really exciting but I’m not going to rush into anything or make lots
of changes. It’s a working business and the customers know it as it is.”
Dani and Ellie are hosting an official handover party at the shop on Saturday, inviting customers old and new to attend.
