Lingerie Model from Costa Rica Worried About Leaked Sex Video

A stolen smartphone and the unauthorized publication of a sex video on social media have been motives of concern for Karolina Brenes, a shapely woman who used to be one of the top glamour models on the lingerie show circuit in Costa Rica. Ms. Brenes recently asked her social media followers for help in stopping an intimate video from reaching viral status on Facebook.
On September 25th, Ms. Brenes posted the following Facebook update:
To all my friends and family: I was victim of a burglary; my belongings and my smartphone were stolen, and someone has caused me harm by uploading a very personal video that I made for my husband nearly a year ago. Perhaps you can help me report it (as abusive content so that Facebook staff can exclude it).
My husband is aware of this matter; this does not really affect us, it will hurt whoever posted the video. It is a shame that there are people like this; may God take care of them. As a woman, I apologize to my relatives and my children. I have taken the adequate measures and will fight this to the very end.
The update by Ms. Brenes seems to have had little effect on curbing the spread of the video in Costa Rica, which was widely shared across social media circles over the weekend. In the video, Ms. Brenes appears by herself; she stimulates her genitalia with the aid of a vibrating device shaped as an erect phallus, and she pleases herself to climax.
On Saturday morning, Ms. Brenes posted another update, which was accompanied with a selfie picture that shows her smiling and holding the aforementioned vibrator:
This is a topic that I wish to bring to an end today. We all have our sins, some people do things and other people do other things; in the end, whomever is without sin shall cast the first stone, because I care as much as this vibrator what people want to think.
Ms. Brenes completed her post explaining that she is only worried about what her children may think if they come across the video, but she also added that she is not ashamed of using a vibrator because she knows of research that suggests that 90 percent of all women can benefit from the use of such sexual aid, which can help them reduce stress and even look prettier.
On her Facebook Timeline, Ms. Brenes also quoted biblical scripture; she has become more religious since her marriage a few months ago to a powerful businessman from the wealthy Alfaro family of Alajuela. She no longer appears on lingerie shows or on photo spreads.
