Lidl is famous for bargains which eager fans race to snap up – and now it’s going to be offering another product guaranteed to get the heart racing.

The company is launching its first ever lingerie collection next month as part of its Spring Fashion Collection.

A sneak peak of the collection shows matching bra and brief sets, a silky robe and richly embroidered underwear.

But the real allure of the collection is the price tag – bras and briefs are £3.99 each and the sateen wrap is £4.99.

The bargain chain is following in the footsteps of its rivals Tesco and Asda, who also sell lingerie at low price.

The lingerie collection is is part of a larger collection inspired by Venice which is going on sale on February 26. Last August the shop’s Autumn fashion range sold out within days.

See You in Venice – the first of four fashion collections to launch this year – includes not only the supermarket’s first ever fashion lingerie, but its first statement jewellery collection.

A two piece bra and knickers set will cost savvy shoppers just £7.98 and the stand out statement necklaces are a snip at only £4.99.

Inspired by the Italian city of water, a nautical style runs throughout the range with its red and blue striped jersey tops, soft jersey dresses and even a trench coat.

The best value item is the black leggings which are just £2.99 and a whole outfit from the range including top, bottoms, coat and shoes can be bought for under £30.

A Lidl spokesman said: ‘Designed to cater for savvy style hunters, the collection includes something for every taste and every budget.

‘As we see increased demand for fashion forward clothing at great value, it’s an exciting step for us to launch our second complete women’s fashion collection.’

With more choice than ever before, customers can purchase a whole outfit from us without the big price tag.

Last year, items flew off the shelves within days of going on sale so we’d advise customers to get down to stores to snap up a bargain quick!’
