Leeds lingerie and fashion supplier expands with bank funding

Leeds based business A K Hosiery Limited have announced the acquisition of new premises with funding from Barclays.
Family business A K Hosiery, run by Andy and Kim Morris, was established in 1981 when they secured a loan for £1500 to start their wholesale fashion business.
After securing further funding from Barclays they have again expanded into new premises at Geldard Road, Leeds.
Andy Morris, managing director, A K Hosiery Limited said: “The new 25,000 square foot warehouse places us in a great position to take the business to the next level, serving not only our online sales but also a great facility for our cash and carry customers.
“We’re able to offer the largest hosiery and textile range in the UK at trade prices and some of our high profile clients include Game of Thrones Sky Atlantic, Celebrity Big Brother and Paramount Studios.”
Online sales have increased rapidly since son Sam joined the business and launched the new website.

“The new premises will allow the company to hold a larger variety of stock and the future looks bright for this well managed forward thinking company.”
