She has a reputation for her outrageous fashion sense and chart topping radio hits.
But ‘basketball fan’ is not (yet) synonymous with the phenomenon known as Lady Gaga.
Always intent upon defying expectations, the 28-year-old hit up a basketball game in Berlin, Germany, on Wednesday displaying a ferocity of cheering reserved for only the sport’s biggest fans.

Getting all worked up: Lady Gaga got animated courtside on Wednesday at a NBA Global Games basketball match in Berlin Germany
Moving her arms about in a frenzy, the ARTPOP singer looked to be shouting at the players on the court.
Gaga was attending an NBA Global Games basketball match between US team The San Antonio Spurs and German team ALBA Berlin.
The singer may have been disappointed as her native team lost to the Berliners by 94-93.
However, she was thrilled when she got to hold the trophy, Instagramming a shot of herself and the impressive accolade, with the caption: ‘The Spurs and NBA were so sweet to me last night! They even let me hold their championship trophy! I felt like such a lady!’

Right on the edge: Gaga stood up from her front row seat
Her night got even better when she managed to get a picture with Spurs star Manu Ginobili.
‘Me and Ginobili! My favorite player! He’s even taller in person! What a doll!’ she captioned a shot of the pair.
Wearing a lingerie-inspired nightie, the songstress looked lovely in the satin and lace black garment.
Standing tall in black heels, she was later seen stepping out into the night streets of Berlin in a black motorcycle jacket.
Gaga is currently in Germany for her artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball tour.

Although her epic world tour wraps up in Paris in late November, there’ll be little down time for the singer who has just announced she and Tony Bennett will perform at The Cosmopolitan casino in Las Vegas for a special New Year’s Eve show.
‘I can’t wait to kick off 2015 “cheek to cheek” with the legendary Mr. Tony Bennett,’ Lady Gaga explained.
‘New Year’s celebrations are about cherishing family, friendship, and the future – three things this man has taught me much about.’
All done: The star spotted stepping out from the game
Sheer delight: Gaga wore a semi see-through dress for the night out
Special treatment: She was thrilled when she got to hold the trophy, Instagramming a shot of herself and the impressive accolade, with the caption: ‘The Spurs and NBA were so sweet to me last night! They even let me hold their championship trophy! I felt like such a lady!’
Gaga is relishing the success of her collaborative album Cheek To Cheek with jazz hero Tony.
‘CHEEK TO CHEEK’ is #1 on the WORLDWIDE iTunes album chart!,’ she recently tweeted.
Earlier in the year the Bad Romance hitmaker opened up to Harper’s Bazaar about how she stores all her colourful outfits.
Fan girl: Her night got even better when she managed to get a picture with Spurs star Manu Ginobili. ‘Me and Ginobili! My favorite player! He’s even taller in person! What a doll!’ she captioned a shot of the pair.
‘I keep everything in an enormous archive in Hollywood,’ she revealed
Adding: ‘The clothes are on mannequins, also on hangers and in boxes with a photo of each piece, and there’s a website where I can go to look through everything.’
‘It’s too big- I could never sort through it myself! But these garments tell the stories of my life’.
Leather and lace: Wearing a lingerie-inspired nightie and a black biker jacket, the songstress cut a trendy figure
