LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas Market attendees looking to enhance their social media knowledge will get a chance to bone up on the latest tips at the Hot Spot Social Media Bar, which is returning to market for the third time.
Market attendees will have a chance to meet with experts who will discuss ways to maximize a company’s social media presence and share tips on how to connect with customers.
The Hot Spot will offer two courses a day, one for beginners and one for intermediate users, from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3 in its new location in World Market Center C-301. Christi Tullis, founder of online marketing and social media consulting firm Putting’ Out, will lead the training and also will help attendees in setting up their own accounts on Facebook, Twitter and other sites.
“Social media continues to be an important platform where businesses can connect with their key audiences,” said Dana Andrew, vice president of marketing and public relations for the WMC. “But the fact remains that many people do not know how to take full advantage of this medium as a method of generating business. We see Hot Spot as a value-add for our attendees that will get them tweeting and updating their fans and followers in a way that will ultimately benefit their bottom line.”
