She owned the runway for much of the nineties as one of the original Victoria’s Secret Angels.

And Helena Christensen proved she certainly hasn’t lost it when she was seen pounding the pavements of New York in tiny shorts and a tummy-flashing top.

The 45-year-old model oozed effortless glamour as she walked alongside her rocker boyfriend Paul Banks, who donned a white fedora and band T-shirt for their Sunday stroll through the West Village.

Walking in something as simple as a pair of flat, yellow sandals, the 5ft 10in model’s long, toned legs were mesmerising in a pair of scalloped hem shorts, that matched the hem of her lime green top.

She gave a glimpse at her lingerie model body in the multi-coloured top that flashed just a hint of her midriff with a fringed edge.

To set off her supermodel look, Helena donned a pair of rectangle-frame shades that matched the lace-effect to prove that the model-turned-photographer is still a bit a fashion follower.

Meanwhile, the brunette kept her hair natural avoiding looking overdone, as she wore a relaxed curl in her hair while she hid beneath a heavy fringe.

Christensen complemented her golden tan with delicate gold accessories, which included an anklet and two wrist cuffs, as well as a gold ring on her engagement finger.

The achingly cool couple, who have been together for six years, strolled through the exclusive Manhattan district as he puffed on a cigarette while she chatted away to him intently.

Interpol front man Paul dressed down a pair of tailored trousers with a white skull-print T-shirt and a pair of navy running shoes, looking non-chalent as he walked with one hand in his pocket.

He gave a little extra height to his ensemble to rival his supermodel girlfriend, who’s nine years his senior, by walking with a tilted fedora on his to just shadow his face.

Though she’s been with her partner Paul since 2008, Helena has shared custody of her 14-year-old son Mingus with actor Norman Reedus since 2003, after they spent five years together.
