It’s been a long time since Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter was courted as a free agent.

He’s being treated like one by Undies.com, which sent a letter to the shortstop (according to TMZ) offering him $25,000 to be the site’s spokesperson for the holiday season. The offer comes after Jeter was sued by a Swedish underwear company for allegedly bowing out from a marketing deal and saying 50 Cent was too “urban” to be involved.
“We would also like to offer your fiancé a lifetime supply of sexy, comfortable Undies.com lingerie,” the site also wrote, referring to Jeter’s wife-to-be, model Hannah Davis. “Because our brand embraces everyone, let’s throw the public a curve ball with a partnership. We know people in the spotlight are often misunderstood, let us help you change any misconceptions.
