She never leaves the house without a swipe of red lipstick and sticks to her ‘uniform’ of cleavage-bearing, long-sleeved dresses on a daily basis.

And last night, Dita Von Teese didn’t disappoint – dressed in a sultry, black tuxedo-inspired dress, showing a peep of her Maestro balconette bra – as the burlesque star launched her latest lingerie collection in Harrods.

Priced from £20 to £115, the new Femme Fatale pieces unveiled by Dita, who wore her hair in signature set curls, include bras, knickers, suspender belts, shapewear and nightgowns.

Dita was joined by a two stunning models wearing her designs. The pair had their hair styled in voluminous faux fringes and wore winged eyeliner and red lipstick.

Dita, real name Heather Renée Sweet, attended the private event in the London store’s lingerie department – promoted through the website as ‘an occasion not to be missed’.

She was on hand to give styling tips and showcase her lavish new pieces to customers and fans.

She strutted down a catwalk in a breathtaking tight-laced corset at the Life Ball in Vienna over the weekend.

Despite its exotic allure Dita revealed the butterfly inspired garment has ‘a very short time limit on wearing it, the waist is cinched to the maximum’.

In December she is due to publish a book called Your Beauty Mark with Harper Collins.

Speaking at the opulent ball on Saturday which raises money to fight AIDS, she told WWD: ‘What I really love about the book, [which took five years to write, she added], is that it’s referencing eccentric beauties, it’s not about the standards of beauty, but women who dare to be and look different instead of looking like everybody else. I guess it’s an empowering book.’

Multifaceted businesswoman Dita is also offering burlesque workshops at a luxury health resort in Tucson, Arizona over the summer.

With an emphasis on self-confidence boosting, the fashion designer and author famous for her raunchy routines will run presentations and classes incorporating the principles of modern burlesque at Canyon Ranch.

Sensuality the Art of the Teese with Dita Von Teese will invite female guests to unleash their inner divas with a selection of workshops and classes.

Dita will team up with burlesque teacher Catherine D’Lish, for a striptease workshop from June 8 until June 12, where holidaymakers can learn classic moves such as the ‘burlesque strut’ as well as how to artfully remove garters, gloves and stockings.
