Dita Von Teese is making glamour more accessible.

The burlesque star has her own lingerie line and now she’s teaming up with e-tailer Bare Necessities to sell her designs on the web.

It’s the first US retailer to take on a line that caters to curvier women with larger busts.

“I believe that lingerie can be both practical and glamorous. It has the power to make women feel desirable, and therefore be desirable. But glamour isn’t just for one type of woman; it is for any woman who desires it,” she explained to WWD.

A behind-the-scenes clip on the Bare Necessities website shows Dita, 41, getting involved with fittings and helping models into the garments.

To mark the launch of the collaboration, the website is also launching a ‘cat eye’ contest, encouraging users to copy Dita’s signature eyeliner look and upload picture.

“Since Dita is all about the a dramatic cat eye, and she draws hers so well I figured it would be a fun and unique contest!” Erin McLaughlin, marketing manager for Bare Necessities, said.

Dita doesn’t just specialise in sexy underwear. The star is also creating eyewear with DITA Inc.

“I love distinctive, powerful – dare I admit – ‘intimidating’ sunglasses. These frames will let them know that you’re a feminine force to be reckoned with!” she explained. “I’ll be wearing these poolside with a black maillot de bain, sky-high heels and maybe some diamonds… Sunglasses are the quick way to achieve glamour. Day-to-day, I usually wear little more than a swipe of red lipstick and a pair of shades.”
