Dita Von Teese and Christian Louboutin have teamed up for a seven-piece lingerie capsule collection. Entitled XXXtian, the pieces will be sold exclusively on Glamuse.com, a European lingerie e-commerce website.
The new XXXtian line includes a bra, a bodice and suspenders, “all made with a naughty toile de Jouy motif designed by Louboutin and printed on silk that is adorned with Leavers lace,” according to WWD.
This is Louboutin’s first venture in lingerie. Prices range from 87.42 euros (about $108.34) for panties to 749.92 euros (about $929.40) for a kimono.
According to Von Teese, her design partner signs his emails “Xtian,” and ”given the erotic nature of the print, we decided to name [the collection] ‘XXXtian,’” she told WWD.
Glamuse.com — which is based in Nancy, Eastern France — also sells Chantal Thomass, L’Agent by Agent Provocateur and Aubade.
The 42-year-old burlesque dancer and ex-wife of Marilyn Manson made headlines earlier this week by landing the no. 11 spot on Tumblr‘s list of the 20 most re-blogged models of 2014.
The ranking comes via data gathered from “millions of blogs, billions of posts, and zillions of notes according to a number of factors-total volume of posts and tags (original and reblogged), Web traffic, follower growth over time, and more,” according to Style.com.
Kendall Jenner topped the list after being re-blogged more than her second place BFF, Cara Delevingne. Candice Swanepoel, Miranda Kerr, Kate Moss and many other iconic models join Von Teese on the list.
Back in October, Louboutin took another step towards expanding his customer base by opening a men’s boutique in Dubai.
“Men are very sophisticated in the region,” the 52-year-old designer told The National back in October.
“They are very neat, the fabric is impeccable, they dress well, they really have attention, the beard is trimmed — so there definitely is an element where they are very comfortable how they look.”
