Facebook has launched a new site offering online marketing advice for small businesses.

Facebook for Business offers a series of tips and advice for small firms that want to make the most of the social network.

It provides help with the basics like setting up a page, as well as longer-term tasks like building a community.

Advice is also available on Facebook’s new location-based services, including tips for businesses that want to allow customers to ‘check in’.

Small firms can also use the Facebook Platform to build apps, and further integrate Facebook’s tools with their existing website.

A Facebook spokesperson said: “Facebook allows small businesses to create rich social experiences, build lasting relationships and amplify the most powerful type of marketing – word of mouth.”

Facebook for Business is widely seen as part of the social networking giant’s response to the newly launched Google+.

EZBloomers.com Announces New Florists Information Exchange

Online floral company EZBloomers.com, has started a Florist Information Exchange on Facebook to discuss ways florists can improve their business. The exchange will offer provocative and innovative ideas about the floral business, and will also be a place where unusual and interesting information about all things floral, from flower arrangement design tips to fun facts about the industry will be shared.

Indialantic, FL (PRWEB) August 03, 2011

EZBloomers.com resident floral industry expert Abner Maldonado wanted to provide additional information for not only their member florists, but also all the florists looking to improve their business. Abner says, “The exchange is more than just a place to help florists be profitable. It’s a way to interact with the florists and hopefully provide content that they find informative, useful, and even enjoyable,” referring to one post entitled, “A Humorous look at The Floral Industry through the Eyes of a Florist” discussing real-life wacky events that florists have encountered while dealing with customers and their sometimes ‘unique’ situations.

The subject matter will be anything and everything related to the flower sending business. Recent posts include a unique look at the use of technology in the floral industry, tips on operational improvements; innovative trends members are trying in their business, and a tutorial on how to set up a florist-to-florist network.

“EZBloomers.com chose to develop a florist information exchange in order to provide a place where florists can gain and share ideas on how to improve their business,” says Maldonado. “More than anything, florists are looking for ways to be profitable while providing the best possible value to their customers. The more interesting content we can provide, the more useful our exchange will become to florists. Since the exchange is regularly monitored, we hope florists find it worth participating on a continual basis.” Maldonado hopes the exchange will become a gathering place for florists passionate about the floral industry. Florists join in on the free flow of information, click “Florists Exchange” and request to be added.

EZBloomers.com came from a simple idea to provide a new way of sending flowers. Online floral delivery giants often charge a $15 service fee when placing an order through their company. By removing the ‘middlemen’ EZBloomers.com can help customers save money on their order because the full amount goes directly to the florist. Also, EZBloomers.com keeps the process transparent. Meaning, they disclose to their customers who their florist is as well as telling the florist who their customers are. Unlike other models, this way of doing business is truly unique as well as cost-efficient.

Knowing it faces stiff competition from the well-known flower companies, EZBloomers.com continually tries to improve the experience customers have when they buy flowers online. The flowers come from florists around United States local to the delivery spot and are guaranteed to provide the highest quality flowers. They feature both single variety flowers, as well as custom flower arrangements – all at affordable prices.

About EZBloomers.com: One of the leading online resources working to link top local florists with consumers, EZBloomers.com (http://www.ezbloomers.com/) offers custom floral arrangements without the high-priced service fees that have monopolized the online floral industry. No service fees allow the total amount to go towards what their customers order, allowing for a better quality product and ultimately the best value.
