3 Things to remember when buying plus size underwear

Buying plus size underwear can be quite a chore if you are unsure how to go about it, especially when there are so many different items to choose from. When it comes to dressing, it’s like building a house, without a great foundation it will fall apart. Here are three tips to keep in mind when buying underwear:
1. Know your size.
Your underwear should never be too small or too big. When underwear is too small it can create lumps, bumps and bulges in all the wrong places. When underwear is too big can cause the rest of your outfit to gape and look very ill-fitting. When it comes to bras make sure you go to a professional to get measured. Most lingerie stores and big department stores usually keep a trained bra fitter among their ranks. When going to get sized and buying just remember that the most important thing is that you’re comfortable and you feel good in what you’re wearing.
2. Shop for your body type
This is a very important step in buying underwear. If you have a large bust, try a minimiser bra. It will give you great support and it won’t look like the girls have a mind of their own. If you have a more full tummy try briefs or high waist panties instead of boy shorts or hipster panties because these will cause bulges whereas high waist panties add a little control.
3. There’s a time and place for everything…Including underwear!
For special occasions where you might end up stripping down to your undies (wink wink) try underwear that is lacy, sheer, and in lush colors. As long as you feel amazing in it then there’s nothing to worry about. But for the everyday try to be more sensible and stick to things that are comfortable and practical.

She’s one of those women who have been blessed with youthful good looks and an amazing figure even as the clock ticks by.
But has Elle Macpherson been taking advice from her fellow Aussie Kylie and succumbed to cosmetic help?
Because the model looked suspiciously smooth-faced as she arrived for a party to mark 10 years of her lingerie line Elle Macpherson Intimates and its partnership with Selfridges department store.
Had some help, Elle? Model Macpherson looked remarkably smooth-faced as she arrived for the 10th anniversary party of her lingerie line
The 47-year-old showed signs of her age around the eyes, which wrinkled into laughter lines as she smiled for the cameras at the bash which was held in Selfridges in London.
But her forehead was unnaturally smooth and didn’t move once as she chatted away to guests and posed for pictures with Australian comedian Tim Minchin.
Willowy: She might need help with her lines, but a super-slender Elle can carry her ‘The Body’ tag with her for many more years to come
Party time! Elle couldn’t stop smiling as she celebrated her lingerie line being on sale at Selfridges for the past 10 years
However, there was some sign of life in her forehead when she found herself reduced to tears during a speech she gave later on in the night.
Elle launched her lingerie collection in 1990 but it wasn’t until 2001 that Selfridges began stocking it.
Isn’t he supposed to be a comedian? While Elle beamed, Aussie funny man Tim Minchin remained somewhat serious
And when she launched the collection in
the department store ten years ago when she was 37, her face showed a
lot more lines than were on display today.
Elle came under scrutiny regarding cosmetic surgery earlier this month when she sparked rumours she had undergone a breast enhancement.
It moves! Elle’s forehead managed a wrinkle as she was moved to tears during a speech at the party
And her fellow Aussie Kylie Minogue, 43, was also put under the spotlight recently when she stepped out with a very smooth face, her eyebrows barely moving as she smiled for the cameras.
Aussie girls: Kylie also came under scrutiny last week when she arrived at a recording studio with a very smooth face
