A former fashion model is outraged with Victoria Secrets for its
recent effort to appeal to a younger clientele.

Nicole
Clark
, director of “Cover Girl Culture,” tells OneNewsNow the
lingerie maker should be ashamed for choosing teen star Justin
Bieber as a featured performer in its annual Victoria’s Secret
Fashion Show.

Nielsen reports the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show that
aired on CBS was the top-rated program of the night.

Clark, who has teamed with the Parents
Television Council’s “4 Every Girl” campaign
to call out
Victoria’s Secret, says it is disturbing to see Victoria’s Secret
target an increasingly younger demographic.

Clark

“If they are going for a young audience, if they were going to
take it to an extreme level — which I think they’ve already done
with Justin Bieber — what’s next?” she asks. “What are they going
to do next? Are they going to ask Raffi to sing to get four year
olds to tune into the show? That’s just how sick the thinking
is.”

Clark said it is bad enough that a lingerie brand is trying to
appeal to teenagers, but the real problem lies in the message the
media pushes that sexuality is all girls have to offer.

“We really do have to take an active role in educating our
children about what makes someone valuable,” she adds.

“But most media, because there is plenty of media out there that
is beneficial and is being responsible, but there is a lot of media
– Victoria’s Secret and obviously people who are at CBS — that
are making these choices without considering the cost to our
children and our youth, because ‘sex sells’ doesn’t get to be
the motto when children are involved.”

The television special attracted 9.3 million viewers and gained
a 3.5 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic, down 24 percent from
the previous year.

Megan Fox Says No More ‘Overly Sexual’ Roles Now That She’s A Mother

The “This is 40″ star and her husband, Brian Austin Green, had a son, Noah, in September.

Known for slim body and smoldering looks, Fox now says having a baby makes her think twice about being “overly sexual” in her movies, according to Gossip Cop

The actress recently attended a Hollywood Foreign Press Association event and told the media that her son is now her main priority.

“I’m going to be more cautious about choosing films because I’m already thinking about when he’s in school and his friends are going to be showing him my photo shoots with me in a bikini and he’s going to be horrified,” she said.

“So that will deter me from making some of the choices I made before.”

Having been named the sexiest woman in the world by FHM magazine in 2008, the Huffington Post reported. Fox previously posed in lingerie for a Sharper Imager campaign while four months pregnant, Us Weekly said.

She says she is in no rush to get back into shape.

“I only gained 23 pounds when I was pregnant and I’m still 10 pounds heavier than I was but I don’t want to kill myself trying to get back into shape because it’s not a priority right now,” she told reporters.

“I’m too in love with Noah and I don’t want to be away from him. I don’t want to be at the gym, I just want to be home.”

Despite being devoted to her little one, the actress does admit being a new parent is a lot harder than she expected.

“Having an infant is difficult. It’s a lot of work, and I didn’t hire any help because I overestimated my own abilities. I had no idea how difficult babies could be, so Brian and I were exhausted,” she told E online

“We have to get a night nurse or we’re going to get a porce because somebody’s got to sleep in this house or we’re going to kill each other.”

Never the less, Fox still seem to think the sleepless nights are worth it.

“You never sleep and you’re awake all night and your entire life is devoted to this little thing that needs you constantly. And I love it.”

“I don’t receive the same satisfaction from my career as I do from being a mother, so I’m really happy.”
