Reclining on a sofa in racy bridal lingerie, Becky Nicholson looks anything but a blushing bride.
The mother-of-three pouted and posed as she stripped down to her bra, knickers and stockings for a newspaper last week – just days before her wedding to Leicester City star Jamie Vardy.
The ambitious couple – who have described the Beckhams as ‘great role models’ – will tie the knot in a lavish fairytale ceremony in Cheshire this afternoon, complete with their own castle.

As is perhaps customary when a high-profile footballer makes it official with a WAG, Hello! magazine will be in attendance, with its sizeable chequebook and security retinue.
Becky, who first said ‘I do’ as a teenager, will glide down the aisle in a £5,000 traditional white dress.
While the details of her extravagant gown have remained top-secret, these photographs printed on Sunday show she doesn’t mind revealing what she might be wearing underneath.

In the interview that accompanied the sizzling spread, Becky made no mention of her decision to pose in her intimates, but did allow the nation to learn about her preferences for wedding flowers — not too many, she’d rather spend the money on booze.
The photographs ‘show exactly why Jamie is so keen to walk her down the aisle’, a source proudly told the newspaper.
‘Becky will want to surprise Jamie, so this outfit will just be a small taste of what’s to come.’

Becky met Vardy, who is 29 to her 34, when she was hired to plan his birthday party at the Viper Rooms nightclub in Sheffield, where she was working as a party organiser.
Vardy, a former factory worker who had to wear an electronic tag after a conviction for assault, was bowled over by her on first sight. Not that the feeling was mutual.
Becky told the Sunday Mirror: ‘It took a lot of persuasion on Jamie’s part to get me remotely interested. I must have said ‘No thanks, I’m not interested’ for the best part of two months. He was very persistent, though, asking me to go for a drink.’
She now lives with him in a luxury new-build house in Melton Mowbray and is styling herself as a home-maker.

One old landlord, however, was not a fan. Godson Allert, who rented Becky a house in Wombwell near Barnsley, from 2013 to 2014, told the Mail lawyers were involved at the end of the let.
‘She had a mouth like a toilet — she’s a really vulgar woman,’ he said. ‘She would give me all sorts of abuse and Vardy would just stand there not saying anything.’
Today, Becky has given up her old job and works full-time supporting Jamie and is a director of his V9 Academy, which helps amateur footballers. She had their daughter, Sofia, in December 2014.

My pilgrimage to Penneys: Why a five hour journey across the US was worth it for this Irish institution

Sure the Big Apple has Madison Avenue boutiques and hip East Village thrift stores, but there has been a void in my life (read: wardrobe) recently. Since moving here six months ago, there was only one shop that I missed – our own homegrown institution, Penneys.
Relocating here in November, right in time for a cold and harsh winter, I was limited with only two suitcases, meaning heavy coats and boots took preference. Once the sun reared its head and I realised how expensive it would be to build an entire summer wardrobe from scratch, I lamented how easily accessible it used to be to nip to Penneys and grab the essentials.
