Remember Whitney Thompson from America’s Next Top Model? She won back in 2008 and was the first plus-size winner in the history of the show.
We loved her then and we love her even more now as the new face of Panache’s lingerie line. The 26-year-old model poses for the retro style photo shoot, wearing a bright purple bra and bikini underwear in a pink ’50s style diner.
She dons a fierce cat eye, voluminous hair and a pretty pale pink lip. And in one photo she sits underneath an old-fashioned hair dryer wearing nothing but hair rollers and a bright pink lingerie set.

In another photo she shows off a matching floral lingerie set, sitting on a pink vinyl couch, still with her hair up in curlers.
Whitney’s modeling career is about more than just selling clothes. The size-16 beauty has made it her mission to help prove that you don’t need to be a size zero to confidently embrace your body.

And so it makes perfect sense that she would choose this lingerie line to model for. Instead of sending the message that plus-size models should cover up, or “focus on playing up their facial features,” Whitney encourages embracing your whole body—something we can definitely get behind.

From racy intimates, to slouchy loungewear, the intimate apparel brand brought sexy back to the runway. Models, barefoot stomped the runway, with big bedroom hair. From silk to lace it was the type of collection that every woman would want in their closet.
Backstage we got to speak to the brand’s representative about the challenges of taking lingerie out of the bedroom and on to the runway.
