The 62nd Miss World will be held on 18 July 2012, in the Inner Mongolian city of Ordos,China. The intimate wishes of the curvy consumer have finally been addressed
with the launch of CurvyCouture.com,
a new line of intimate apparel with beauty and details of classic haute
couture Hollywood. Dora Lau, CEO, President and Founder of Dora L
International, Inc., has launched the Curvy Couture line of full figure
bras, panties and corsets to satisfy the desire for beauty and support,
shapely women crave now available online.

“I would like to make every full-figure customer proud to be curvy,”
says Lau, who has been developing bras for this demographic for over 20
years. “I have heard their needs and wants,” and truly, she has. She has
integrated those voices into a niche too often overlooked in the
American lingerie market. Full-figured intimate apparel with true
artistic heritage tends to be limited, especially when it also
incorporates modern technologies and materials that ensure comfort at an

Bras in cup sizes 36C to 44DD will retail between $48 and $55, and will
feature padded microfiber straps as well as micro-lined push-up pads and
removable cookies for enhanced cleavage. Undies will sell from $18 to
$22 and will be sized 6/8 to 22/24. Special effects will include V-front
silhouettes, light tummy control and seamless styling.

Highlights of the Curvy Couture collection were inspired by the silver
screen goddesses, actresses, such as Ava Gardner and Marlene Dietrich,
along with the architecture of their period. The collection harmonizes
the detail of art deco stitching and the delicate freshness of couture
laces, incorporated with the comfort and function of tummy control
panels, microfiber options such as convertible straps. “Haute couture
means hand made,” Lau explains, “with many hours of development going
into the product. That is how we developed this line – with great care,
so that every aspect is designed for our curvy customer.”

Lau’s sensibility for glamour dates back to her roots, growing up in a
small but successful family record producing business in Hong Kong,
where she was very involved in the styling and dressing of performers.
She grew to realize how important intimate apparel was in creating
allure that was rooted in comfort and strength and what a crucial
foundation it was for a performer. Those intimate layers contribute not
just to the shape and support of the physical body, but to the
confidence that comes from feeling beautiful and creatively free. Lau
