Last winter, as the nation snuggled under its collective duvet, Peter Stringfellow informed me he would be spending his nights amorously, working towards a very specific target: becoming a father again at the age of 74.
“We’ve been practising; we’re going for another one,” the priapic club proprietor said of his enthusiastic efforts with his wife Bella, 33, with whom he has a 16-month-old daughter, Rosabella.
And lo, almost exactly nine months later, Bella has produced a baby boy, Angelo (shown, in my exclusive picture).
“That’s it, no more babies now; it’s just lovely to have a brother for Rosabella,”
Sheffield-born Stringy said after his visit to London’s Portland Hospital.
“I will be 75 next month and I’m dedicating the rest of my life to looking after my wonderful wife and my gorgeous children.”
