Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel have revealed this year’s Victoria’s Secret catwalk show will take place in London.

The stunning Angels appeared at the lingerie brand’s Bond Street store on Tuesday morning alongside marketing director Ed Razek, where they announced the 2014 spectacular will cross the pond from its previous home in New York City to the capital at Earls Court on December 2.

Adriana said: ‘We’re very proud to announce that we’re heading to London this year.

‘The Victoria’s Secret Show is the biggest fashion show in the world, for sure, so it will be amazing to bring the show to London. I love it here. Especially the shopping!’

And it looks as though model of the moment Cara Delevingne will be rocking the runway in her hometown after appearing in the Victoria’s Secret show for the past two years consecutively.

Razek explained: ‘Candidly, we weren’t well known enough here until we opened the stores. We have six stores in the UK now.

‘I’ll let you into a secret. I told Cara a few days ago and asked her to save the date, so hopefully she will walk. She was excited. And she kept the secret for a whole week!’

And Adriana joked that a certain Prince Harry will be guaranteed a front-row seat, as the Angels would love to see the royal attend the show.

She said: ‘We would love to invite Prince Harry. He definitely has a front row seat!’

The iconic lingerie and swimwear
showcase has previously taken place in the likes of Cannes and Los
Angeles, and was hosted at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York City
in 2013.

Meanwhile, Razek gave an insight into the magic behind the epic shows, admitting they are a whole year in the making.

He explained: ‘We start planning the show the day after the last show. We plan for a year. The best time to think about what to do next year is immediately after you finish the show because you see what kind of things you want to do.

‘It’s a full year planning. We’re heavily into the planning now – we’ve got a full day of meetings tomorrow.’

Merging fashion, fantasy and entertainment into a runway spectacle, the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show is broadcast in 192 countries by CBS Entertainment.

Featuring musical performances, pink
carpet interviews, model profiles and a behind-the-scenes look at the
making of the world’s most celebrated fashion show, the 2013 broadcast
on December 10 was the night’s most viewed show.

Last year’s spectacular featured performances from the likes of Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy and Neon Jungle, while the likes of Cara Delevingne, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jourdan Dunn, Toni Garn and Joan Smalls took to the runway.

The first ever Victoria’s Secret show took place at the Plaza Hotel in New York City in August 1995, and since 2001, one Angel is chosen to wear the prestigious bejewelled ‘fantasy bra’.

Heidi Klum has worn the Fantasy Bra in three different years, while Gisele Bündchen, Tyra Banks, Karolina Kurkova, and Adriana Lima have each worn two of the intricately-designed lingerie items.

The 2013 show saw Angel Candice rock the runway in $10million creation named the Royal Fantasy Bra.
