Luxury lingerie brand La Perla, known for its understated elegance, fine laces and seamlessly fitting underpinnings, will open its doors in San Francisco next month. The Geary Street flagship boutique, designed by Italian architect Roberto Baciocchi, will highlight La Perla’s signature skivvies in transparent cases, on gilded metal hangers and velvet-lined trays. The opening of the seductive new space, featuring a soft color palette and playful details (like fitting rooms outfitted with “service” bells to ring the sales staff), also coincides with the brand’s 60th anniversary this year. Look for the fall winter 2014 collection in-store, with styles that straddle the line between lingerie and outerwear, if you dare.
Idylle balcony bra ($218) and matching culottes ($148); Zigzag Soutache Brazilian brief ($204, middle);
El Color Rojo Brazilian brief ($138, top). Available at La Perla’s San Francisco flagship, 170 Geary Street (opening December), and www.laperla.com
