Ugh, Stop Critiquing Ariana Grande’s "Lingerie"

Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik wrote a blog post to express her distaste for a billboard of Ariana Grande, which apparently depicts her wearing “lingerie.” The exact billboard is not pictured in the post, but Bialik writes that “a few billboards I have seen lately really bug me,” continuing:
There is one for Ariana Grande, and I will go ahead and admit I have no idea who she is or what she does. Based on the billboard, she sells lingerie. Or stiletto heels. Or plastic surgery because every woman over 22 wishes she has that body, I’m sure. Why is she in her underwear on this billboard though? And if she has a talent (is she a singer?), then why does she have to sell herself in lingerie? I mean, I know that society is patriarchal and women are expected to be sexy and sexually available no matter what we do in society, but I guess now I need to explain that to my sons?
Does Bialik, who says she was having an “old lady moment” when she wrote this, really need to slut-shame the girl? Or the models in Levi’s ads she also takes issue with? No. Because that only perpetuates the notion that it’s OK to shame women for what they wear and how slim they are. Accusing famous women of doing something wrong just because they wear a certain outfit or have thin figures helps no one feel better about themselves.
Maybe the real problem is not what Ariana chooses to wear in her advertisements or promotional materials, but the fact that people like Bialik view women in certain outfits as not even worthy of looking up what they do for a living.
Yes, she is a singer — and a damn good one at that.
