The “American Horror Story” actress is featured in Violet Grey’s online magazine The Violet Files, and the sexy photo shoot celebrates the 55-year-old star’s glamorous style.
The black-and-white photos show the actress dressed in black lingerie that shows off her famous fit physique.
Fans have always been amazed by Bassett’s ageless beauty, but she says that when she looks in the mirror, she sees a “passionate woman who knows what she loves and has been blessed to be able to do it… and continue to do it.”

The actress, who is nominated for best supporting actress in a miniseries or television movie for her role in “AHS,” was asked about her style on and off the red carpet. She said she prepares for red carpet events by cutting out sugar, alcohol and bread so she can “fit into whatever I’m wearing.”
But when it comes to getting dressed without her glam squad, Bassett said it only takes her “about 10 minutes.”
“I start thinking about it in the car on the way home,” she said. “Do I want to be flirty? Sensual? Powerful? Then I try to dress for that feeling.”

As for her advice to other young actors who hope to have an enduring career like hers, Bassett simply said, “You have to study your craft.”
“Actresses make it look easy because that’s the way it should look—effortless,” she continued. “When a great actor does their job they’re leaving a piece of their soul in the room. It takes a little out of you, but that’s okay.”
“Life will take a little out of you, love will take a little out of you,” she added. “We’re talking about demonstrating the best and worst of the human experience.”
