Buckhead Atlanta really is getting a slice of Rodeo Drive.
Italian luxury clothing company La Perla recently submitted plans to Atlanta for a new store in Buckhead — its first store in the city. La Perla would become a tenant at Buckhead Atlanta, a mixed-use development at Peachtree and East Paces Ferry roads.
It’s unclear if La Perla has signed a lease with Buckhead Atlanta developer OliverMcMillan. The nearly 1,900-square-foot store would sit on Boiling Way between Peachtree and East Paces Ferry.
La Perla, probably known best for its lingerie, has more than 150 stores across the world, including several in the United States such as Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills; Michigan Avenue in Chicago and Madison Avenue in New York.
San Diego developer OliverMcMillan earlier this summer confirmed a spate of new stores including several other first-to-market retailers such as including French footwear designer Christian Louboutin and Italian fashion house Helmut Lang.
Some of those stores and restaurants will begin opening Labor Day weekend.
The past 18 months have seen Buckhead Atlanta gain huge leasing momentum and the resurgence of the project — once touted as a slice of Rodeo Drive on Peachtree — helped lead the recovery of Atlanta’s commercial real estate sector.
A look at the other stores and restaurants already slated for Buckhead Atlanta:
Retailers:
– Swiss fashion label Akris will open its fifth U.S. boutique in a 2,164 square foot space at Buckhead Avenue.
– Luxury purse consignment store Bella Bag will open its 1,178 square foot boutique at Peachtree Road.
– Brunello Cucinelli, a luxury Italian retailer known for fine cashmere fashions, will open its first Atlanta location in 2,491 square feet on Bolling Way;
