‘Suspicious activity’ in lingerie department

POLICE are hunting a man caught acting suspiciously in the women’s lingerie department of a supermarket in Strabane.

The bizarre incident was reported to staff at Strabane’s Asda store shortly before 11pm on Monday night. A member of the public said she had spotted the male in the lingerie department with his hand in his trousers.

He was asked to leave the store and police were called. The male then made off in the direction of Lifford and has not yet been located.

The PSNI has not yet released a description of the male but have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
