A man dressed in women’s clothing who allegedly tried to shoplift women’s lingerie from a store was reportedly able to escape after he “became sick,” according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.

The incident happened about 4:20 p.m. on Friday at Target on Whiskey Road, according to an incident report.

A loss prevention officer told police a man dressed in women’s clothing entered the store and began to shoplift a set of women’s panties, a lingerie top and a lingerie bottom.

The loss prevention officer began to escort the suspect to the loss prevention office, but the suspect “began to fight and then became sick,” the report stated. “During this time, the suspect was able to escape from the store and get into a black in color Dodge Magnum.”

The vehicle was last seen traveling south on Whiskey Road.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5-foot-8 and weighing about 170 pounds.
