She’s become accustomed to performing in front of thousands all over the world.

But apparently Madonna is also just as happy to sing in her underwear at home as long as she has the aid of a few trusty Instagram filters to properly immortalise the moment.

The 55-year-old shared a heavily desaturated snap on Wednesday of herself reclining in her lingerie as she brandishes a riding crop with a caption explaining that she had been singing in her underwear.

The filtered black and white portrait depicts the singer sporting a leather biker cap as she reclines in a seductive pose on one elbow.

Wearing leather gloves, Madonna shows off her fit figure in lingerie and stockings as her blonde mane cascades in flowing waves.

The Material Girl captioned the snap: ‘Today I decided to sing in my underwear! No one seemed to mind! #loveyoufromtheinsideout. #artforfreedom’.

Meanwhile, the star has opened a series of gyms, called Hard Candy Fitness, alongside her personal trainer Nicole Winhoffer, with whom she works out six days a week.

Dance is a key and a big part of our workout,’ Nicole told Us Weekly in February.

She provided some insight into her sessions with the superstar, saying: ‘I change her programme every week. This is important to shock the body. Without change, you can’t achieve results.’

Another key part of their work outs is the music selection.

‘The beat dictates my movement and rhythm for her programme. One of my favourites is Offer Nissim’s remix of [Madonna's] Frozen,’ the superstar trainer added. ‘It is such a sick beat and gets our adrenalin going.’

The pair could have some new tracks to work out to soon, as Madonna has been back in the studio working on her 13th studio album.

The MDNA singer has been hard at work with producers like Symbolyc One, MoZella, and DJ Avicii.

She can pose at any age she wishes to. She looks astonishingly good and its women like her who fight the battle of ‘women turning invisible at 40′. Women should support her not make rude comments – we all get old in the end getting old is a joy – we’re all lucky to get there! Good on you Madonna – grow old any way you wish to – disgracefully being the best way.
