Contraband Arrest: Lingerie Among Items Seized

A Hinds County man is in jail after trying to smuggle contraband, including lingerie, into the Raymond Detention Center, authorities said.

Jacob Funchess, 23, was arrested Sunday night around 9:30 p.m. A K9 unit located him in the woods nearby the detention center, Hinds County Sheriff Tyrone Lewis said.

Authorities report the contraband included tobacco, drugs, cell phones, and a pair of size 7 women’s panties.

Funchess is charged with introducing contraband into a correctional facility and possession of marijuana, Sheriff Lewis said.
