LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin Police officers arrested a 22-year-old former Victoria’s Secret employee for felony theft Thursday after she allegedly stole more than $4,000 in merchandise and cash during a period from December 2013 to Feb. 7.

TeCosa Brena Walker, of Center, was arrested and charged with state-jail felony theft between $1,500 and $20,000. She posted a $2,000 bail and was released later Thursday.

According to the arrest affidavit, Lufkin Police officers responded to the Victoria’s Secret store in the Lufkin Mall on Feb. 11. The store’s manager told the officers that Walker had been stealing from the company. At the time, Walker was giving a statement to a representative of Victoria Secret Loss Prevention.

When the officers spoke to Walker, she allegedly told them that on several occasions between December 2013 and Feb. 7, she posed as a customer, ordered items on Victoria’s Secret online catalog, discounted the price of the items to zero, and had them shipped to her. She also allegedly made up fake customer return slips for items and kept the cash refunds from the register.

Later, Walker gave a written statement to a Lufkin Police Department investigator. She allegedly admitted to stealing about $4,000 worth of merchandise through ordering items online and discounting their prices to zero and making up the fake customer return slips.

According to the affidavit, Walker wrote, ‘There is no reason why this should have taken place. I was wrong for all the things I took, and I’ve come to realize that I have to take full responsibility for all this.”
