MEET the Parramatta Eels cheerleader set to get down and dirty as a competitor in next year’s Australian version of the Lingerie Football League.

Courtney Watts tackled, ran and passed her way on to the Sydney team in the league tryouts last month on the back of successful stints as a cheerleader for the Eels and the Sydney Kings basketball side.

And while the blonde bombshell may be easy on the eye in skimpy lingerie, the 23-year-old is adamant she isn’t all about just looking good on the field.

“I love football and being a cheerleader it’s nice to now be in the field of play rather than on the sidelines, so bring it on,” Ms Watts, a personal trainer, said.

“Even though I’m probably one of the smallest girls (to qualify for the team in trials), I’m fast and defence-wise I can work on that.”

And Ms Watts had a message for those who question the legitimacy of lingerie football as a sport.

“We are real women playing real sport,” she said.
