She’s been pictured numerous times wearing nothing but underwear, but today Prince Harry’s former flame Florence Brudenell-Bruce channelled her more demure side as she attended day two of Royal Ascot.

Wearing a buttoned-up cream jacket, below-the-knee Missoni dress and cut-out heels, the 26-year-old lingerie model struck an elegant pose as she stopped for pictures at the gates of the Berkshire race course. She topped her classic ensemble with a striking feather headpiece by Jane Taylor, one of the Royals’ favourite milliners, which featured a black plume of feathers bold bloom.

Once inside the grounds she joined a number of celebrity guests which included her ex-boyfriend Jenson Button. She dated the Formula 1 racing driver for 18 months before before their split in 2008. But the two kept a clear distance, and Button was seen wandering around hand in hand with long-term girlfriend Jessica Michibata.

The Japanese fashion model was easily visible in a bright blood orange shift, and feminine netted hat.

Although outrageous hats have become
synonymous with the annual horse racing event – this year the designs
have proved particularly modest.

With a strict new dress code enforced it seems many racegoers have been more cautious with their choice of attire.

And although some
racegoers in rule-breaking wares have apparently slipped through the net,
Ascot’s head of communications, Nick Smith, declared himself ‘delighted
with the standard of dress’.

He
added: ‘We always said that we would adopt the new rules sensitively,
using common sense and discretion, especially in the first year, and
that is what we are doing. The most important thing is that people have an enjoyable time.’

Some of the most flamboyant racegoers spotted so far include model Anneka Tanaka-Svenska who opted for £3,000 bird-cage outfit created by milliner Louis Mariett.

Simon Cowell’s ex-girlfriend Jackie St Clair has also sported some wacky headwear. For the first day of Ascot she opted for an over-sized Union Flag bow to top off her bright blue ensemble and today she confidently wore a larger than life floral hat.

Royal Ascot’s Ladies’ Day, held this year on Thursday, will no doubt see the most outlandish outfits.

Explaining the new dress code Charles Barnett, chief executive of Ascot, added: ‘Ascot is Europe’s flagship race meeting and one of the world’s greatest sporting and social events. We have tried to provide an appropriate dress code that is clear, workable and in line with the wishes of racegoers.

‘Over the last few months, a huge amount of planning has gone in to making sure that the implementation of the new code goes as smoothly as possible. During the meeting itself, our team of special dress code assistants will help people with any queries that they may have.

Meanwhile,
anyone heading for the royal enclosure who had failed to bring a hat
was ushered discreetly to an office in which there was a huge array to
choose from for a £50 deposit.

She’s very pretty

Fabulous head pieces and ladies, yet again Jane Taylor crreates a masterpiece!

” parade of fillies” expect a knock at the door DM…the PC brigade will have you for that piece of sexism I am sure.

“You expected William, second in line to the throne of 16 countries to marry a lingerie model?”
Sorry, but Kate was in her underwear on a runway at St.Andrews. Don’t forget that’s when the second in line to throne became attracted to Kate.

Florence is a beautiful girl, but her outfit is rather dowdy.

Goodness me, the lady in pink with That Hat has got loads more courage than I have! I bet she’s got a really wicked sense of humour – she looks like she’s enjoying herself, bless her.

And she has got more hats than Kate’s footwears…sorry footwear

Wow…Florence is a beautiful girl, a natural beauty,..she makes Chelsy Davey look like a real bow wow.

what happened to girls with pretty faces? I see great body’s these days but so few “striking” women??

Florence must be rather pleased that she is no longer called
