Three workers at the theft-ridden Victoria’s Secret in the Palisades Center are suspected of making off with nearly $60,000 in lingerie over the past six months, Clarkstown police said Tuesday.

Investigators were called to the store Monday by a loss prevention officer who said that an internal audit connected the three workers to the theft of $58,000 in merchandise that was in the store room, according to Sgt. Harry Baumann.

Two of the employees, Shavon Pressley, 22, of New City and Emanuel Jumenez, 24, of Garnerville were charged with felony counts of grand larceny. Both were given appearance tickets to return Jan. 11 to Clarkstown Justice Court.

The third suspect has not yet been apprehended.

Victoria’s Secret stores throughout the region have been plagued by thefts.

In June, 2010, the Palisades Center store was robbed of $16,000 cash.

In April of that year, more than $11,000 was taken from a safe at the Victoria’s Secret store in the Galleria in White Plains.

In April 2009, more than $20,000 in lingerie was stolen from the West Nyack store. Similar thefts occurred at the stores in malls in Yonkers and White Plains.
