German Regulator Takes Aim At Facebook Facial Recognition

SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones)–A German regulator has asked Facebook to disable the social-networking service’s photo-tagging feature, arguing that its use of facial-recognition software to compile a massive archive of photos may run afoul of European Union privacy laws.
