North Jersey will get the heaviest snowfall, with 6 to 8 inches now predicted in Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Passaic, Bergen, Hudson, Essex and Union counties, according to the National Weather Service.

Mercer, Middlesex and Somerset counties will see 4 to 6 inches, while Monmouth will see 3 to 4 inches. Areas south will see 2 inches or less. Shore points will see anywhere from 3 to 4 inchesĀ in Sea Bright to rain in Cape May.

While little accumulation is forecast in South Jersey, the NWS admitted to uncertainty with snow amounts along the rain/snow boundary.

While forecasters noted Saturday’s warmer temps earlier in the day across South Jersey could mean less snow sticking to roadways, it was starting to stick in some areas by early evening.
