When you’re in a creative role you have to consider comfort, because if you’re constricted and you can’t move, you just end up thinking about your clothing. Before I had my two children, my style was much more flamboyant. I would sometimes come into work in an evening dress with a vintage leather jacket. But I still love my ridiculously high heels. I own them by the tub-load, particularly black patent styles by Charlotte Olympia, Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik… I think heels are very important for work because they instantly elevate you. I like to really wear them in because it shows you’ve had fun in them, and then I get rid of them when they’ve had it.
