She’s a Britain’s Got Talent veteran, having starred on the talent show since its first series back in 2007 alongside original fellow judges Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan, so it’s no wonder Amanda Holden couldn’t wait to divulge 2017′s panel.
The TV personality made a guest appearance on Rylan Clark’s new late night chat show on Wednesday, clad in a provocative dress by lingerie brand Agent Provocateur whereby she went knickerless and promised the former X Factor star, “I won’t do a Sharon Stone.”
Informing viewers of Holden’s lack of underwear, perhaps gratuitously, Clark informed the audience: “Well, just to let the viewers know, Mandy hasn’t got any underwear tonight. So hopefully we don’t get any previews of that.”
Throughout their tongue-in-cheek banter, the 45-year-old confirmed the Britain’s Got Talent line-up for next year’s series, revealing that all of the current judges – Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Holden herself – will be returning to their seats.
Admitting that Cowell has a soft spot for her, she said: “He [Simon] did put on his Twitter that he loves me and Alesha so much that he would like us back next year… we’ll be back!”
Reflecting the iconic moment where Paul Potts graced the BGT stage 10 years ago, Clark said of the first series: “It was literally that [first] series after a couple days Paul Potts came on stage. Ten years ago you wouldn’t think they’re making a movie about him.”
Morgan did not return for series five of the hit television show and Cowell was only present during the live shows, while David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre joined the panel. Dixon and Walliams replaced them in series 6 and the show has gone from strength to strength, becoming the most watched show of 2016 after garnering an impressive 12 million viewers.
So it’s no wonder that Cowell told Closer magazine that his current judging panel are “very welcome back next year.”
