Summer is at its peak and while you must have filled your closet with the cottons and linens, your job is far from over. Well, that’s because your sexy rich lingerie is not going to be your best friend in this scorching heat. That’s because minimalistic summer fashion calls for breathable lingerie and here’s a look at lingerie trends to keep you cool this summer, courtesy Arpita Ganesh CEO and Founder, Buttercups and fashion stylist Saloni Bhatt.
1. Colours: Some of you might still be wearing the boring blacks or the sad whites when it comes to lingerie, but this summer snub the pastels and go chic with shocking pinks, bright citrus, mint green, electric blue and so on. What’s more, you can team up these eclectic colours with pastel tops, making these bright brassieres catch subtle attention.
2. Mesh and lace: Opt for these as they are the coolest to wear in the heat, being breathable and easy on the skin.
3. Balconettes: When all those low and deep necks are out (it is summer after all!), the balconette is your best bet under them. Low cut, to give you the comfort of going as low on the cleavage as you want, while still being hidden, the balconette adds the much needed cool this summer.
4. Bandeau bras: Go strapless and off shoulder without worrying about the straps or digging plastic ones. The bandeau is a must-have for the summers to carry off those cool gypsy dresses and tops.
5. High-cut panties: Just like the swimwear, the panties are going high-cut this summer, to give you that extra cool feel. Try the seamless, high cut slim panties to beat the heat.
6. The classic baby doll: It might be eternally associated with cozy winters, but the new age summery baby dolls are all you need to feel sexy tonight without even getting worried about ever rising heat.
7. Transparent bikinis: A woman can never go wrong with sexy transparent bikinis and if you have not tried a net bikini with strings, summers are the best time to get into one and feel your body.
8. White booty shorts: Flirty and fashionable, it’s best to invest in a pair of sexy booty shorts for a fun day at the beach or even for lounging purpose. Just bring on those popcorns.
