Police today sought the public’s help in identifying three pickpocket suspects who were caught on surveillance video working in tandem to steal a woman’s wallet at a lingerie store at the Beverly Center.

The suspects — two men and a woman — entered the shop about 6:20 p.m. Oct. 23 at the shopping center at 8500 Beverly Blvd. and followed the victim throughout the store.

“The first suspect stood next to the victim and appeared as though she was shopping, while attempting to remove the victim’s wallet from her purse,” according to a Los Angeles police statement.

The two men, meanwhile, stood next to one other and appeared to be shopping near the victim, while the woman made several attempts to lift the victim’s wallet. When the woman got the wallet, one of the men walked over and looked through it as the other man walked away.

“The first suspect then placed the victim’s wallet in her bag and walked out of the business with the second suspect,” according to the LAPD. “The victim did not realize her wallet and phone were missing until she was checking out at the cash register.”

The woman was described as white, 35-40 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 130 pounds, with long black hair. The men were both described as white, 25-30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 180 pounds.

Anyone with information about the suspects was urged to call the Wilshire Robbery Division at (213) 922-8215. After-hours and weekend calls can be directed to (877) LAPD-24-7 and anonymous tips can be provided by calling Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
